Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services is seeking an entry-level Lab Chemist in Bridgeport, CT. You will support hazardous waste testing, operate analytical instruments, and maintain a safe lab environment. This role offers weekly pay and a path to grow in a safety-focused, essential industry.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and with a team are essential. A high school diploma is required, with chemistry coursework considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with science background.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfort handling hazardous materials with PPE.
• Ability to wear a respirator when required.
• College science coursework or degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing on hazardous waste and chemical samples.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments daily (pH meters, calorimeters, GC-MS, GC-FID).
• Process daily waste samples, including fuel compatibility, GC analysis and metal analysis.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment as needed.
• Follow all EHS regulations, EPA testing methods, and internal safety policies.
