Job summary

Vailes Home Improvement Services in Fishersville, VA is hiring an Entry-Level Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing, family-owned team. This role is ideal for someone with HVAC training, trade school or apprenticeship experience, or early field exposure who wants to continue building technical skills alongside experienced professionals.

As an entry-level technician, you will assist with residential service calls, perform preventative maintenance, support diagnostics and repair

Qualifications

• Trade school HVAC education or maintenance experience, or at least 1 year of field experience in HVAC or related skilled trades.
• EPA certification is a plus but not required and may be supported through training opportunities.
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with insurable driving history and demonstrate professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and service residential heating and cooling systems under guidance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.
• Support repairs and troubleshooting under experienced technicians' supervision.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain service recommendations.
• Complete service documentation accurately and maintain organized tools/workspace.
• Follow safety standards and best practices, and participate in ongoing training.
