MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a motivated Human Factors Engineer to support the USPS TE&Q organization in Merrifield, VA. This entry-level role focuses on human-centered design, ergonomics, usability testing, and engineering innovation.

You will help improve safety, efficiency, and usability of automated mail processing equipment and work environments nationwide, applying biomechanics and cognitive psychology to assist engineers in design decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or a closely related engineering/psychology field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in human factors or usability.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment and work environments to boost safety and performance.
• Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and observations.
• Design and run usability studies to assess interactions with automated equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create user-friendly interfaces and procedures.
• Identify ergonomic hazards and assist with risk assessments.
• Support cross-functional projects to embed human factors into designs.
