Job summary

InterContinental 62s Group plc in Chicago seeks a motivated maintenance technician to support the hotel by performing repairs, maintenance and safety checks across guestrooms and public areas. Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Ability to clearly communicate with proper grammar in English with guest/visitor and hotel personnel to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical functions.
• Some formal technical school training.

Responsibilities

• Work with trade mechanics to assist in repairs and maintenance of guestrooms and hotel areas, including electrical and painting tasks.
• Complete daily calls logged from HOTSOS.
• Maintain lamp storage room and mechanical areas/equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and change filters on air handling equipment.
• Clean and paint various areas throughout the hotel and assist with boiler operation as needed.
• Follow hotel safety policies, OSHA rules, and report progress to supervision.
