Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage busy screening and queue areas.
• Ability to use computer programs and prepare clear, grammatically correct reports.
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Previous corrections, military, first-responder, behavioral-health, emergency-department, or security experience is preferred.
• Previous customer-service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, employees, and physicians.
• Monitor hospital property and protect buildings and equipment.
• Assist with directing people and providing information as needed.
• Staff security desks and operating Legacy Enhanced Security Screening stations.
• Screen with X-ray scanners, walkthrough metal detectors, handheld detectors, and searches of belongings when required.
