Job summary

Texas First Rentals (TFR) in SA-Cibolo, TX is seeking an entry-level technician to perform basic inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on heavy equipment following established procedures. You will work as part of a team to provide basic mechanical services that meet customer needs and departmental goals.

Entry-level position with limited experience, training will be provided, and you will learn to plan repairs, order parts, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of equipment and tools
• Proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
• Understanding of operation and control of equipment
• Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment
• Ability to operate a conventional forklift
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to coordinate precise movements of machinery
• Ability to read, write, and understand information
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
• Must have/acquire basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools (metric/standard)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
• Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment
• Plan equipment and component repairs
• Process parts orders and identify return parts
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
• Complete repair documents promptly
• Work safely and follow policies and procedures
• Work overtime as needed
• Pursue ongoing training (e.g., ProTech training paths)
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
