Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanic to assist with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and haul trucks.

You will work under supervision to develop skills and ensure safe operation of company-owned equipment. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and accurate record-keeping while following OSHA and environmental guidelines in an outdoor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment repair.
  • Basic training in automotive/heavy equipment repair (trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Complete minor repairs and adjustments under supervision.
  • Maintain service records and document work performed.
  • Follow safety policies and environmental guidelines.
  • Assist senior mechanics with major component repairs.
  • Work independently on routine tasks and as part of a team.
