Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking an entry-level Mechanic I to support inspection, maintenance, and repair of bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and haul trucks. You will work under supervision to develop technical skills and ensure safe operation of company equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic training in heavy equipment repair, with 0–2 years of related experience. CDL is preferred or obtainable, with full-time hours and outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic training in automotive/heavy equipment repair preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Complete minor repairs and adjustments under supervision.
• Maintain service records documenting work performed.
• Inspect equipment for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA regulations and environmental guidelines.
