Fastenal Co. is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Heat Treat operator at the Wallingford, CT facility. You will assist heat treat operators by receiving products, moving loads, and learning to operate heat treatment furnaces to spec.

Forklift and pallet jack use are involved, with potential for a flexible schedule after onboarding. Responsibilities include loading, monitoring furnace controls, documenting processing, and ensuring load integrity.

Qualifikationen

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license for the location.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift 25–50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and map furnace loads for processing.
• Adjust and monitor furnace equipment controls.
• Transfer furnace loads into and out of thermal processing equipment.
• Record and document processing of materials/parts.
• Inspect metal parts for hardness and specifications.
• Report equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
• Operate surface finishing equipment to finalize surface finish.
• Repack heat treated parts for further processing.
