LyondellBasell is seeking a Health & Safety Engineer, full-time in the Houston area, to support our commitment to safety and incident-free operations. You will engage with internal stakeholders, contribute to Goal Zero objectives, and apply occupational safety expertise to real-world projects.

Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates pursuing relevant degrees, with a 3.0+ GPA and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Fire Safety & Protection, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support an incident-free work environment by prioritizing safety and health.
• Uphold safety and health as an integral part of Everyday Excellence.
• Foster a Goal Zero workplace by building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Provide proactive, innovative, and sustainable solutions based on sound Occupational Safety expertise.
• Protect and promote workforce health through risk assessment, control, and verification via personal monitoring and medical programs.
