Job summary

Children's Hospital Oakland seeks a dedicated Research Data Analyst to gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research data. You will design data samples, instruments, and apply established statistical methods to develop actionable recommendations.

Under supervision, you will prepare reports, charts, and visual aids to communicate results and support dissemination of findings. This role supports data collection, study design, data sources testing, and data reporting products.

• Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
• Basic consultation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research data.
• Design and conduct research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings.
• Prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.
• Under direct supervision, perform basic statistical and data analysis.
• Collect research data and prepare it for analysis.
• Assist with study design proposals and survey instruments.
• Support testing of research instruments and data sources.
• Assist with evaluation and research of data reporting products.
• Develop knowledge in storage, documentation and dissemination of computerized data.
