Job summary

FloLogic, headquartered in Morrisville, NC, seeks a QA Technician to test hardware and firmware, execute test plans, and document issues. You will work hands-on with electronics, read device states, and help reproduce and troubleshoot faults alongside engineering.

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical/associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with lab instruments such as a multimeter; oscilloscope experience is a plus.
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach — you can follow procedures carefully and document findings.
  • Clear written communication; notes and bug reports are used by engineering.
  • Comfort with computers and learning new software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Run and refine manual test plans for new firmware releases and hardware.
  • Reproduce reported firmware/connectivity issues and document steps, logs, and observations.
  • Use basic lab instruments to investigate hardware problems.
  • Read device behavior from LEDs, sequences, and on-screen/serial output.
  • Evaluate returned hardware (RMAs) and route defects to engineering with evidence.
  • Flash and provision devices and keep test rigs organized.
  • Grow into designing new test scenarios and take more ownership of QA.
