Responsibilities

• Mentorship and learning: work with the lead Plant Mechanic to learn equipment, workflows, and safety.
• Plant maintenance and repairs: assist with routine maintenance and repairs across the facility.
• Minimize downtime: diagnose mechanical issues quickly to keep production running.
• Facility upkeep: general plant upkeep and minor repairs.
• Safety and compliance: maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.

In this direct-hire role, you will work directly alongside our experienced Plant Mechanic, receiving daily mentorship and hands-on training to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance. Responsibilities Include:

• Mentorship & Learning: Work side-by-side with the lead Plant Mechanic to learn our facility's machinery, workflows, and safety protocols.
• Plant Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all equipment and infrastructure across the manufacturing warehouse.
• Minimize Downtime: Help diagnose mechanical issues quickly and safely to keep production running smoothly.
• Facility Upkeep: Perform general plant upkeep, building repairs, and component adjustments as directed.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work the training schedule (5:30 AM – 1:30 PM) and transition to the permanent schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) after training.
• Mechanical & Electrical Experience: Some experience is preferred, but it is not required—we are ready to train the right candidate to become a skilled maintenance mechanic.
• Welding Experience: Basic welding or fabrication experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on Mindset: Comfort using basic hand tools, power tools, and a strong willingness to learn a technical trade.
• Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate an industrial plant environment safely.
