Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Laboratory Technician – Gas Analysis in Waverly, TN. The role involves hands-on work with GC/FTIR instruments, gas cylinders, and LIMS to ensure medical and specialty gas quality. It requires strict safety, regulatory compliance, and data accuracy.

The position includes shift work on a 24/7 DuPont schedule, potential for permanent employment, and benefits. A BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or 2+ years lab experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering OR 2+ years analytical lab experience.
• Hands-on analytical lab work, instrument operation, data recording.
• Knowledge of GC and related chromatography techniques.
• Familiarity with FTIR gas analysis and CO2 analysis.
• Experience with quality control practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform gas analysis to ensure product quality and specifications.
• Operate and maintain GC/FTIR instruments and document results.
• Upload results to LIMS with traceability and compliance.
• Prepare and calibrate gas mixtures following safety protocols.
• Handle gas cylinders and sample preparation per procedures.
• Assist in safety training and maintain a clean lab environment.
