Job summary

Kforce is recruiting for an entry-level IT Software Engineer in Warren, MI, working with a Detroit-based automotive giant where technology fuels innovation and a connected future. The role covers full-stack development across React, Go, Node.js, Python, and SQL, with emphasis on UI improvements, system integrations, and secure authentication.

You will collaborate with product, design, and IT teams while gaining hands-on experience deploying applications in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in navigating large codebases using GitHub and Sourcegraph to understand system behavior.
• Hands-on experience developing applications and user interfaces (courses, internships, or personal projects).
• Familiarity with full-stack development using React, Go, Node.js, Python and SQL.
• Experience deploying applications in a corporate environment.
• Understanding of centralized authentication and MFA systems.
• Comfort with local development workflows and debugging.
• Experience performing integration testing ahead of deployment.
• Strong organization and written communication skills.
• Proactive in documenting open questions and clarifying requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make incremental UX/UI improvements across internal applications.
• Support backend work such as system integrations and database connectivity.
• Implement and troubleshoot MFA via a centralized directory.
• Write and optimize queries to expose data between systems.
• Deploy and configure off-the-shelf applications in a corporate IT environment.
• Debug and test applications locally with real-world scenarios.
• Perform integration testing to ensure reliable production releases.
• Document requirements gaps and edge cases to support execution.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and IT teams.
