Job summary

Millennial Software is seeking an Entry Level Full Stack Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, and support of data-driven applications for a Government customer. You will grow skills across the full stack, with focus on modern development processes and technologies.

The ideal candidate participates in design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, collaborating with users and developers to build high-performance tools in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering production software across frontend and backend domains.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and one modern frontend stack.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL) and data modeling.
• Experience with messaging/queuing platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Docker, Helm, orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid knowledge of version control, testing, debugging, performance, and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship full-stack features across UI, backend, and data layers.
• Collaborate with product/design to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs and service integrations with reliability and performance.
• Implement frontend components with usability, responsiveness, and accessibility in mind.
• Deploy, upgrade and maintain components in Kubernetes using Helm and CLI tools.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to reduce defects.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues; participate in on-call as needed.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows for observability and tooling.
• Document solutions, decisions, and runbooks for long-term maintenance.
• Follow secure development practices to reduce risk.
