Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD seeks an Associate Buyer, Food & Other Beverage to support the merchandising team. You will manage store-facing issues, set up new products, and coordinate cross-functional processes with stores, marketing, pricing, and accounting.

Reporting to the Manager, Food & Other Beverage, this entry-level role emphasizes organization and collaboration. The position calls for a near-term focus on operational accuracy, supplier coordination, and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year of work experience in a corporate retail role.
• Experience in retail supply chain management or purchasing is a plus.
• Basic Accounting skills and interest in performing accounting tasks.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel (can perform complex functions).
• Attention to detail with strong follow-up and time management skills to support cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve store-facing issues for the Food & Other Beverage department, serving as the key point of contact to troubleshoot problems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely solutions that support smooth retail operations.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on new store set ups and delivery schedules.
• Work externally with suppliers and our teams to manage Beverage and Food items in our assortment, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Research and address accounting issues as they arise.
• Assist with the set-up of new items and ordering.
• Run weekly reporting as assigned.
• Provide support in Merchandising projects as assigned.
• Prioritize many assignments simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
