Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking an entry-level Junior Flight Simulator Technician to perform maintenance on Full Flight Simulators, Cockpit Trainers, and related systems to support pilot and FAA training requirements.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, using electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting diverse hardware and software training devices. You must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electronic/electrical drawings, schematics, and logic diagrams.
• Experience operating electronic test equipment to identify malfunctions.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits, computers, computer networks, visual generation/display systems, hydraulic systems, input/output systems, pneumatics, mechanical, and flight instrumentation.
• General knowledge of aerodynamics and commercial cockpit instrumentation and their relation to flight principles.
• Physical ability to climb and work from platforms and ladders and lift 50 lbs.
• Must furnish personal tools as prescribed by Delta.
• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• At least 18 years of age and authorization to work in the United States.
• Prioritize safety and data security.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots discrepancies on electronics, computers, networks, hydraulics, visuals, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Installs, replaces, cleans, repairs, and services equipment including visual display systems, computers, networks, motion systems, and circuits.
• Maintains PCs and various host computers and networks.
• Performs periodic maintenance and diagnostics on computer equipment.
• Operates and maintains electronic test equipment.
• Performs software archiving functions.
• Possesses knowledge of aircraft systems and their operation.
• Adheres to safety practices in all processes.
