Job summary

The Town of Oro Valley is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic I–III to service and repair Town fleet vehicles. Under supervision you will perform entry-level to mid-level maintenance, maintain records, and coordinate with dealers for complex repairs.

A valid Arizona Class D license and at least one year of automotive maintenance experience are required. Starting pay reflects a hiring range of $43,936 to $49,428, depending on experience and qualifications, with benefits available through the

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year experience performing routine operator level automotive maintenance.
• Valid Class D Arizona driver license by start date; equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Services and repairs various systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain shop, office, and fuel island area inventory and cleaning.
• Perform general maintenance and repair activities on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections (oil changes, tire changes, routine repairs).
• Advise on repairs to be completed in-house or by dealers/outside shops.
• Route vehicles to dealers or repair shops as required.
• Inventory, inspect and clean tools, supplies, parts, and shop equipment.
• Provide customer service to vehicle operators/owners about maintenance activities.
