Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years of experience in fleet maintenance or related field.
• Must have valid Connecticut driver's license and be able to meet DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Entry-level role with supervision and on-the-job learning.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols precisely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and equipment for mechanical and safety issues.
• Perform minor repairs and replacements of components under supervision, such as brakes, lights, belts, and hoses.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, and other system malfunctions.
• Use hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other specialized tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with vehicle and equipment washing and detailing.
• Learn and apply technical knowledge related to various types of vehicles and equipment within the fleet.
