Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Good work ethic and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Study specs and drawings to determine installation steps and tools.
• Inspect structures to avoid obstructions and weakened areas during piping work.
• Locate and mark pipe positions and openings in walls/floors.
• Cut openings in walls/floors for pipes and fittings using hand/power tools.
• Cut and thread pipe with cutters, torches, and threading machines.
• Bend pipes using bending machines or by hand as required.
• Assemble and install valves and pipe fittings from metals and nonmetals.
• Join pipes with screws, bolts, fittings, solder, or caulks.
• Fill pipe systems with water/air and check for leaks using gauges.
• Install and repair plumbing per build; may weld fixtures to structural members.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
