Mercer Advisors is seeking an entry-level Financial Planner to join our Financial Planning Group. The role supports Wealth Management Teams nationwide by preparing financial plans, analyzing data, and using planning tools to deliver tailored recommendations.

Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and be pursuing CFP coursework, with 1+ year of industry exposure preferred. The position may be office-based or remote within a hybrid setup, with opportunities to grow in a nationally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Has begun CFP coursework.
• At least 1 year of financial industry related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Salesforce and financial planning software preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in a team environment.
• Customer service orientation, be coachable, and eager to learn.
• Must be highly flexible and confidential with all matters.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial plans for prospective clients and existing clients.
• Collect documents from clients to prepare the financial plan.
• Use planning tools (eMoney, Morningstar, SS Analyzer, CRM, Excel) to create plans.
• Partner with sales and wealth advisor teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Collaborate with other groups to develop client strategies and recommendations.
• Stay current on financial planning topics including cash management, investments, and taxes.
• Assist with creating and implementing workflows to improve efficiency.
