Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level finance professional to contribute to the business management of projects from $1 million to $4 billion. You’ll participate in forecasting and accounting practices within the Operational Finance team of the Power Market, with opportunities for relocation as needed.

The role emphasizes payroll, purchasing controls, cost reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate project reporting and compliant financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of being a team player and supports project needs.
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and learns the work processes.
• Understands payroll and HR workflow and uses systems to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Maintains purchasing workflow internal controls and documents.
• Understands accounts payable and vendor payment processes; troubleshoots issues.
• Ensures cost reporting accuracy; reviews budgets and forecasts for management.
• Identifies and reviews forecast and budget issues to ensure proper cost and revenue recognition.
