Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer in the Eastern District (New York area) to support field and office operations across transportation projects. You will assist in interpreting drawings, estimating quantities, coordinating schedules, and supporting safety and cost reporting.

Relocation and travel are expected as projects move across sites. The role offers exposure to large-scale civil construction, opportunities for advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package along

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and determine completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in preparation of work plans, packages, and JHA’s.
• Support field surveying, elevations, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in data entry to job cost system and review cost reports with management.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups on the jobsite.
• Support both field and office engineering teams to ensure project success.
