Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training.
• Requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors.
• No prior fiber experience required; willingness to learn.
• Must read basic construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fiber Splicers with fiber optic cable preparation and splicing
• Learn fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber cables
• Assist with OTDR and power meter testing
• Read and interpret basic construction prints and splice diagrams
• Install fiber enclosures, terminals, and related equipment
• Support aerial and underground fiber construction crews
• Maintain records and documentation of work
• Follow safety policies and customer requirements
• Operate tools and telecommunications equipment safely
• Travel to job sites as needed
