Sunrise Telecom, Inc. is seeking a motivated Fiber Splicer 1 to join our telecommunications construction team. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in fiber installation, preparation, testing, and maintenance while you learn industry standards and safety procedures.

You will assist experienced splicers, read simple splice diagrams, and support aerial and underground fiber work. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential for growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Entry-level role; willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fiber Splicers with fiber optic cable preparation and splicing.
• Learn fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
• Assist with OTDR and power meter testing.
• Read and interpret basic construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Install fiber enclosures, terminals, and related telecommunications equipment.
• Support aerial and underground fiber construction crews.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work.
• Follow all safety policies and customer requirements.
• Operate hand tools and basic telecommunications equipment safely.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and company vehicles.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
