Anistar Technologies in Montgomery, AL is seeking an entry-level Cable Technician to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of voice and data cables on large data center projects. The role emphasizes teamwork, a learning mindset, and working with a team of professionals in a controlled environment.

The ideal candidate will gain experience in pulling, testing, and labeling CAT-5e, CAT-6, and fiber optic cables in a new construction setting, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Able to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
• Must be capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.
• Must be able to follow directions and learn.
• Must have OSHA10 construction or be willing to obtain one via Anistar.
• Must be willing to work Monday-Saturday as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the pulling/installation of new fiber/cat6 cables in a new construction environment
• Installation of cable support structures – fiber tray, cable tray, ladder rack, etc.
• Manual labor – moving boxes and materials around the job site
• Must be able to follow directions and learn
• Must have prior commercial new construction experience
• Must be able to work with a large team
