Arnold & Smith, PLLC in Charlotte seeks a newly licensed or early-career attorney to join our family law team in Uptown Charlotte. You will learn from experienced family law practitioners, develop litigation and client-management skills, and progressively take responsibility for your own cases.

You’ll work from our Uptown office with free parking and access to the area’s amenities, gaining exposure to hearings, negotiations, mediations, discovery, and client counseling under strong mentorship.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• North Carolina Bar admission or admission anticipated in the near future.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• A strong work ethic and genuine commitment to client service.
• A desire to learn and build a career in family law.
• Prior family law experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn from experienced family law practitioners and develop real litigation and client-management skills.
• Progressively take responsibility for cases of your own.
• Gain hands-on experience with active family law matters including hearings, negotiations, mediations, discovery, and client counseling.
• Develop legal writing, advocacy, strategy, and case-management skills with mentorship.
