Resource Options, Inc. seeks an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist to support environmental investigation and remediation projects across New Jersey.

You will gain hands-on experience in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling, soil logging, and monitoring well installation while working with seasoned professionals. Based in New Jersey, you will spend 80–85% of your time in the field, developing technical knowledge and advancing toward greater project responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field is required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant environmental field experience preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of environmental sampling techniques, including soil and groundwater.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Assist with vapor intrusion investigations and sampling.
  • Perform soil logging and document soil properties and subsurface conditions during field investigations.
  • Assist with monitoring well installations, development, and sampling.
  • Provide field oversight during drilling and well installation activities.
  • Conduct environmental site assessments, inspections, and monitoring activities.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, sampling documentation, and chain‑of‑custody forms.
  • Collect, organize, and manage field data for use in technical reports.
  • Assist project managers and senior environmental professionals with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
  • Learn and assist with preparation of environmental reports and documentation for submission to the NJDEP.
  • Follow all applicable health and safety procedures while working in the field.
  • Travel to project sites throughout New Jersey, with approximately 80–85% of the position spent in the field.
  • Develop technical knowledge and progressively take on greater project responsibilities with experience.

We are seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist to join our team and support environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout New Jersey. The Environmental Scientist will gain hands‑on experience conducting field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling, soil logging, and monitoring well installation activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a strong technical foundation early in your career while working alongside experienced environmental professionals. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both field and office settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus, but not required.

Pay Range - $25.00/hr. - $28.00/hr.
