Job summary

Sterling Labs is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct a range of TCLP-related analyses and standard soil tests in support of environmental testing. Base pay is $17.25 per hour, with a schedule from Sunday to Thursday 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

The role emphasizes TCLP, SPLP, and ZHE testing, data entry in LIMS, and strict adherence to SOPs. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in environmental science, chemistry, or biology and are highly analytical, organized, and proficient with MS Office and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or biology.
Ability to learn laboratory information systems (LIMS), databases, and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and form conclusions.
Highly organized, with an ability to follow specific rules and patterns for analysis and equipment setup.

Responsibilities

Set up, conduct, and document qualitative and quantitative analyses of solid and soil samples.
Prepare, digest, and analyze samples, ensuring consistency with lab SOPs.
Perform TCLP, SPLP, and ZHE tests.
Carry out wet-chemistry procedures, including hexavalent chromium preparation and soil pH measurement.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
Monitor process parameters, evaluate anomalies, and report results in LIMS.
