Job summary

APTIM is seeking motivated entry level engineers to join our team supporting Federal Fueling programs, providing engineering and construction services for fueling facilities.

Engineers will work on planning, procurement support, design, construction, and commissioning across domestic and international projects including Guam, with opportunities to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• B.S Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret specifications, drawings and scope of work documents and field data.
• Prepare a variety of technical documents including scopes of work, specifications, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, work method procedures and project reports.
• Complete requests for information (RFI), review submittals and select materials for projects.
• Gain knowledge and uphold industry standards from organizations such as API, NFPA, ASME, ASCE and ACI.
• Observe and ensure construction practices comply with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of relevant construction activities/requirements.
• Gather productivity data for pipeline install, earthwork, concrete work and other activities to support estimating activities.

Job Overview

APTIM is seeking motivated and proactive entry level engineers to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Federal Fueling programs.

APTIM is seeking motivated and proactive entry level engineers to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Federal Fueling programs. APTIM's Federal Fueling programs provide engineering and construction services for aviation and ground products fueling facilities which include bulk storage tanks, fueling piers, pipeline systems, pumphouses, truck loading/offloading terminals, and aircraft direct refueling facilities. Engineers will apply critical thinking skills to initial planning, procurement support, plan development, design, construction and commissioning phases of projects. Engineers will often work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform other duties as required. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while solving problems in the engineering and construction industry. Engineers typically serve the projects in both the field (domestic and international assignments) and the office, as necessary. International locations include Europe, Japan, Guam, Diego Garcia and other Pacific Island locations.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Observe and ensure construction practices are compliant with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of relevant construction activities/requirements.
• Gather productivity data for pipeline install, earthwork, concrete work and other activities to support estimating activities.

Basic Qualifications

• B.S Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
• Previous internship experience preferred
• FE and EIT candidates preferred
• Willingness to travel 10-15% of time
• AutoCAD experience preferred

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 Per Year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
