Job summary

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking an entry-level engineer to support the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent (ATEA) within SAF/AQL. This on-site role at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling places you at the center of anti-tamper efforts, reviewing industry plans and helping build data infrastructure for senior decision-makers.

You will work daily with senior SMEs and leadership, gain exposure to high-visibility programs, and develop skills in program protection, acquisition, and national security technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Active TS clearance required (SCI eligibility required)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and extract key insights
• Proficiency with data management tools (e.g., Excel, databases, or similar platforms)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work 100% on-site at JBAB

Responsibilities

• Support the review and analysis of Anti-Tamper (AT) plans submitted by defense industry partners
• Extract and catalog technologies, methodologies, and protection measures from AT plans
• Develop and maintain databases and tracking tools to monitor evolution of Anti-Tamper technologies, R&D investments, and program-level implementation trends
• Assist in identifying gaps, trends, and opportunities in Anti-Tamper approaches across programs
• Prepare briefings, summaries, and analytical products for senior SMEs and leadership
• Collaborate daily with the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent, Program Office personnel, and senior engineers
• Support continuous improvement of data management and knowledge-sharing frameworks

Position Overview

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking a motivated, entry-level engineer to support the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent ( ATEA) within SAF/AQL.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the center of Anti-Tamper efforts, supporting the protection of critical technologies across advanced defense programs. You will directly assist in reviewing industry-submitted Anti-Tamper plans and contribute to building the data infrastructure that informs senior-level decision-making.

You will work daily with senior SMEs and leadership, gaining exposure to high-visibility programs and developing a strong foundation in program protection, acquisition, and national security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review and analysis of Anti-Tamper (AT) plans submitted by defense industry partners

• Interest in Anti-Tamper, export controls, or protection of critical technologies

Salary range for the position is $150,000 - $250,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
