Job summary

KBR is seeking an Entry-Level EMU Suit Technician to support the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) and other suited events. You will perform maintenance, assembly, testing, and processing of EMU hardware and assist engineering across events.

A high school diploma or equivalent plus technical training is required. Strong reading of drawings, basic MS Office skills, and teamwork are essential for this hands-on role in Houston.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical activities.
• Experience with Pressure Systems.
• Excellent oral and written communications; must be able to read and interpret Work Authorizing Documents (WADs) and mechanical design drawings.
• Capacity to work in a team environment.
• Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, assembly, testing and repair of hardware for events; perform functional tests on EMU/EVA hardware.
• Maintain and repair EMU Training Hardware as required.
• Read and work from drawings/schematics, equipment specifications, test procedures, etc.
• Maintain certifications to perform job functions.
• Work with databases like SARAH and On Base.
• Perform NBL safety walkthrough.
• Operate a vehicle to deliver hardware to events.
• Keep Lead informed on hardware status to meet milestones.
• Assist team mates with suit processing and checklist verification.
