Adventist Medical Center Reedley in Reedley, California seeks an entry level Scribe for Emergency Medicine. The role offers exposure to a clinical setting, working one-on-one with physicians, and a path toward PA/medical school training.

It emphasizes rapid learning, strong writing, and accurate typing within a fast-paced environment. Base compensation begins at $23.00 per hour with bonus eligibility and a focus on mentorship, resume building, and professional development through our scribe

Qualifications

• Available Monday through Thursday between 7am and 9pm with variable shifts.
• Prefer Monday and Tuesday availability.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine.
• Strong writing skills.
• Quick and accurate typing speed.
• Experience with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk and follow a physician for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a stressful and fast paced environment.
• 1 year commitment at this site, continuous one year.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with physicians and other health care providers.
• Gain firsthand exposure to a clinical setting for undergraduates or post baccalaureate students.
• Scribe hours counted toward clinical training for PA/medical schools.
• Build networking and resume through scribe alumni.
• Complete scribe application test as required.
