Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking an entry level Embedded Firmware Engineer I to join the Embedded Solutions team in our Software Department.

You will contribute to full lifecycle development of embedded electronics and real-time firmware/software under the guidance of senior engineers. You will work with microcontrollers and SoCs, support platform and weapon system integration electronics, and participate in cross‑functional teams using Azure DevOps, Git, and Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional embedded systems experience or internships.
• Hands-on in at least one area: embedded firmware, FPGA/HDL, or digital hardware.
• Familiar with version control and basic build/test workflows.
• Strong documentation and ability to follow structured engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug embedded firmware and software in C/C++ for MCU/SoC platforms.
• Implement peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART) and drivers under supervision.
• Support hardware bring-up and lab verification with test equipment.
• Assist with RTOS or bare‑metal real-time applications for deterministic behavior.
• Contribute to basic FPGA tasks, simulations, timing constraints, IP integration.
• Execute unit/integration tests; log defects and assist troubleshooting.
• Produce design notes, documents, and release checklists under guidance.
• Participate in peer reviews and Agile/phase-gate activities using Azure DevOps.
• Document integration steps and bring‑up instructions per V2X processes.
• Adhere to safety, quality, security, and export control requirements.
