Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 1 to support the Tracy, CA Safeway location. The role focuses on day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on installed equipment.

The shift runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with Mondays and Tuesdays off, with overtime and possible weekend work. Base pay range is $23.50 to $27.00 per hour at posting; final compensation depends on location, education, and experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking and component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Create and close work orders into asset management system with labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and understand resources to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Respond to basic service calls and correct equipment failures.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
