Job summary

Tic Inc. is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspersons on a construction site. You will learn to interpret drawings, use basic tools, and support installation, testing, and preventive maintenance tasks under supervision.

This role requires physical stamina, willingness to work irregular hours, and adherence to safety rules. You may move and install electrical components, handle hand and power tools, and assist with wiring tasks at ground level. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Strong working knowledge, skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical, and background check
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret drawings and determine procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with installing electrical conduit, weld supports, and terminate wiring.
• Assist with installation of control and distribution apparatus.
• Assist with testing and startup of systems and circuit continuity.
• Observe equipment to identify hazards and adjustments.
• May pull wire, connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems.
• Assist disassembly and repair of defective equipment.
• Learn to operate hand and power tools used on site.
