Job summary

TIC_Craft in Greenville, MS is seeking an entry-level helper to support skilled electricians. You will learn to interpret drawings, measure, cut and install conduit, and assist with wiring and terminations on high and low voltage systems.

You will work under supervision, handling hand and power tools, performing startup tests, and aiding in safe operation. The role requires physical work, outdoor conditions, and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret drawings, sketches, software and determine tools and procedures.
• Assist electricians to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; weld supports and duct banks.
• Assist with installation of control and distribution equipment and fasten in place.
• Assist with testing and startup of systems and ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
• Observe system operation to identify hazards and needed adjustments or replacements.
• May pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems and assist with disassembly and repair of equipment.
• Learn to operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic tools.
