Job summary

Edelman, LLC is hiring an Entry Level Electrician in Champaign, IL. This full-time, non-exempt role starts at $20/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and some evenings or weekends as needed.

You’ll learn the trade hands-on from senior installers, executing basic wiring, outlets, lights, and switches, while growing independence as your skills build. A clear path to higher levels is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of residential electrical install experience.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Valid driver's license, insurable through our company carrier.
• Tools required for Install Level 2 work (we'll give you the list).
• Safety-first, detail-oriented, and ready to learn from the people who've been doing this for years.
• Electrical Training Certificate or completed Level 1 Electrical Skills (bonus points).

Responsibilities

• Learn and execute basic wiring, outlets, lights, and switches to company standards under a senior installer.
• Pull Romex and low-voltage cable, and run branch circuits per National Electrical Code.
• Wire outlets, lights, switches (single-pole and 3-way) and build residential services.
• Read blueprints and building codes to route wiring precisely.
• Prep and protect the space, keep the truck stocked, and leave sites better than found.
• Track materials, hit target hours, and use ServiceTitan to move jobs forward without hand-holding.
