Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking an entry level Electrical Test Engineer to join the Yield Engineering team. The role focuses on development, support and continuous improvement of 200mm electrical test.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or Physics and a minimum GPA of 3.0. English fluency and up to 10% travel are expected. Training and mentoring are provided through the NCGProgramUS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and good academic standing.
• English language proficiency (written & verbal).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure products are defect-free and function as designed.
• Perform product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve throughput, reduce cost and support yield learning.
• Analyze electrical measurement data to identify root causes for issues in data collection equipment.
• Program to implement test protocols and handle electrical test data.
• Develop new test environments to support next generation technologies.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting and deconstruct complex systems.
• Collaborate with integration, equipment and quality engineering to support next generation technologies.
