Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team in Overland Park, KS, onsite. You will contribute to the detailed design of generating plants and renewable energy electrical systems under the supervision of a lead engineer.

As part of our team you will develop one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit routing, and panel schedules, with exposure to CAD, ETAP, and AutoCAD Electrical while supporting large capital projects and maintaining safety and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
0–1 year post-education experience.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Familiarity with electrical design rules, codes and safety practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
Familiarity with CAD/ETAP/AutoCAD Electrical.
Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Detailed design of generating plant and renewable energy electrical systems under supervision of a lead electrical engineer.
Electrical system upgrades under supervision of a lead electrical engineer.
Develop one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit sizing/routing, panel schedules, material take-offs, and specifications writing.
