A construction services firm in Baton Rouge is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join their Electrical and Instrumentation Department. The role involves collaborating with teams to develop construction work packages in the chemical and refining industry. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications
Licensed Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to become licensed.
Co-Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge to apply industry codes and standards.
TWIC Card or ability to acquire one.
Responsibilities
Develop and review designs and installations for correctness.
Define specifications for budgetary quotes/estimates.
Assemble detailed construction bid packages.
Support electrical engineering activities within multi-discipline teams.
Perform job walks and site visits to client facilities.
