Dewberry Engineers Incorporated in New York is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to assist in building design and drafting. This role focuses on BIM and AutoCad for MEP systems across various projects, aiming to develop future project engineers.
The ideal candidate will have a BSEE degree and be keen to learn electrical engineering software. Key responsibilities include supporting senior engineers and engaging in design for infrastructure. Competitive salary noted between $80,698 and $83,198.
Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer for our NYC office. Duties will include building information modeling (BIM) and AutoCad drafting, design, drawing production, discipline coordination between the various trades, shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems for Dewberry projects. Position is for a person considering an upward professional engineering career path aspiring to project engineer within a few years and receiving a PE within 5 years of hire.
Focus will be on assisting senior electrical engineers in building design including lighting and power for HVAC systems and fire alarm systems, for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. In addition, the Dewberry MEP engineering group supports the design of infrastructure including bridges, highways and tunnels. Will train on other electrical engineering software such as Visual, Lumen Micro, SKM Dapper, etc. as required by Dewberry's clients. Ability to learn and apply these software's is required.
The projected range for this position is $80,698 - $83,198 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
