Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join our Water team in Honolulu, HI, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to local and global clients. You will assist in electrical system design, CAD/Revit drafting, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to address water distribution challenges.

You will learn and apply design principles under experienced engineers, supporting design reviews, submittals, and RFIs while growing technical proficiency and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and layout of water distribution systems with a multidisciplinary team.
• Draft electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout plans using CAD and Revit.
• Review equipment submittals, shop drawings, and respond to contractor RFIs.

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join our Water team in Honolulu, HI working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity you to join our team and be involved in a variety of electrical engineering tasks for our clients; such as those regarding design, analysis, and layout of water distribution systems. In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will provide electrical system design. Utilizing software such as computer-aided design (CAD) and Revit you will draft electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout plans. Including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information).

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $85,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
