Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Designer to join our engineering team.

You will develop electrical drawings, control panel layouts, and documentation for low-voltage equipment used in industrial environments. You'll gain hands-on experience with electrical design software, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes while benefiting from mentorship and opportunities for technical growth.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field (or expected graduation within the next few months).
  • Internship, co‑op, classroom projects, or hands‑on electrical experience is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software preferred.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn new software, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support the design of low-voltage electrical assemblies and related equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
  • Learn to select electrical components under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with engineering change orders (ECOs) and revisions to existing designs.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure designs are completed accurately.
  • Follow company drafting standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to review technical drawings for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to walk through manufacturing areas as needed.
  • Occasional travel between company locations may be required.
