Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technician 1 to assist in basic testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision. This entry-level role supports more experienced technicians while building foundational skills for career progression.

You will work on site in Charlotte, NC, perform basic testing and data recording, follow safety procedures (LOTO), and participate in ORM meetings as part of a growing electrical testing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent training.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
• Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and wiring.
• Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
• Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
• Maintain records and report inspection activities.
• Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
• Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
• Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
• Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
