Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC seeks an entry-level Electrical Commissioning Technician 3 to assist in testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision.

You will support more experienced technicians, gain foundational skills, and contribute to safe, compliant field operations. Responsibilities include testing and maintaining equipment, assisting with wiring, and preparing gear for tests while following LOTO and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience or training.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
• Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and wiring.
• Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
• Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specs and plans.
• Maintain records and report inspection activities.
• Understand and apply basic math, measurement devices, and safety procedures (LOTO).
• Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
• Assist in operating load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
• Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
