ZenaTech in Mesa, AZ is seeking an entry-level Drone Technician to join our operations team. This hands-on role focuses on assembly, maintenance, inspection, and field support of drone hardware and systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and passionate about UAV technology.

You will work closely with senior engineers and field operators to ensure safe, reliable drone performance. No prior drone experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools, electronics, and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Assembly & Maintenance: Assemble/disassemble drone components; perform preventive maintenance; replace faulty parts.
• Flight Operations Support: Assist with pre/post-flight checks, prepare launches, monitor performance, calibrate sensors.
• Quality Assurance & Documentation: Log flight hours, maintenance, defects; ensure quality before deployment; draft SOPs.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow FAA regs and site safety; report hazards; collaborate with engineers and operators.
