Job summary

Cullerton Group is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer 1 for Mossville, IL. This 12-month assignment is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, with core hours 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and flexible start times.

The role focuses on testing, inspection, and validation of drivetrain components, data collection, and reporting. Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 0–2 years’ experience are required for this entry-level position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical testing, inspection, and validation of drivetrain components.
• Review test setups, monitor testing activities, and verify instrumentation.
• Perform pre/post-test hardware inspections to identify wear, damage, and design improvements.
• Set up measurement instruments and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze test data and interpret results to identify trends and issues.
• Prepare technical reports and test summaries with conclusions and recommendations.
• Support the development and improvement of test methods and procedures.
• Collaborate with design, analysis, and development engineers on tests and product improvements.
• Work onsite in Mossville, IL with occasional travel as required.
