Actalent in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Distribution Field Technician for an entry-level, contract-to-hire role that supports the infrastructure powering homes and businesses. This position includes paid training and real-world field experience.

You will document information with tablets and GPS, perform inspections, and assist with drawings and project documentation while collaborating with engineers and utility professionals on critical projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data on utility poles, electrical equipment, and infrastructure.
• Use tablets, GPS devices, and other technology to document information.
• Perform inspections and audits in the field.
• Assist with engineering drawings, designs, and project documentation.
• Work alongside engineers and utility professionals on critical infrastructure projects.
